Presentation College, Athenry, announced the winners of the Greg Browne Awards on Friday the 12th March, at an awards ceremony, which was held in the assembly hall of the college.
The ceremony presided over by Principal, Mrs Mary Forde, Deputy Principal Luke Glynn and was attended by award sponsors, award recipents and their parents, students and staff.
The Greg Browne Awards are presented to the students who acheived the best results in Junior and Leaving Certificate Examinations in June 2009.
Vera Browne, wife of late Greg Browne, presented the winners with their awards.
The Credit Union was represented by Conrad Byrnes, Joe Dennison, Mary Doherty, Sinead Brady and Mary Forde.
The winners of this years awards were Karen McNamara (best Leaving Certificate result) and Micheal Mitchell (Achievement Award), Michael Forde (best Junior Certificate result) and Kiernan McNulty (Acheivement Award)
